The most difficult day of the year for me (and the wife and I celebrate our wedding anniversary every year on June 17th) and I remember this day, the 16th of June, 2001 as if it is was yesterday. It is hard to believe it was 24 years ago
He was taken from us just as he got his life in order, he lost 50lbs, he quit drinking and smoking, he was really enjoying life and then he had that damn heart attack and that was that, funny, I had my heart attack (s) on January 16th 2016 and I survived.
My big regret with his passing is that he was not married and had no kids, he was a great uncle to our 3 boys and he would have made a terrific husband, father and family man. I also believe he would have made a fantastic private tour guide, he was a real people person!
To his many friends around the world, have a drink and remember our Tim
ps
This is all the data that Grok collated about my brother
“Tim Lloyd, Deceased (2001): A blog post by Jamie Lloyd on J3 Private Tours Hong Kong mentions a Tim who died in Hong Kong on June 16, 2001, from a heart attack at age 33. Described as someone who loved Hong Kong and spent most of his life there, this Tim is likely not the same as the analyst above, given the timeline. The post is a personal tribute and doesn’t provide professional details.”
Tim passed away before social media became mainstream
My insider tip
Please note that in general if you book a tour on Viator or Tripadvisor you generally have NO control over what guide will lead your Private Tour of Hong Kong and this is the most important component of the tour. I urge you to check the actual company website and book via their website and do not forget to read Tripadvisor reviews as well.
