My Private Premium Tours and Experiences will appeal to travellers who want to learn about the real Hong Kong which is just a little different to what you might read in the press or if you have been on a tour, from a tour guide - It is possible that you already have tours booked on your visit to Hong Kong either with coach tours or you have booked a private | group tour, I simply offer a detailed overview of Hong Kong based on living here since January 2nd 1972 and completing 2,350+ private ours of Hong Kong.

I can guarantee that my take on Hong Kong will be very different from what you might hear from what is euphemistically called a local person, I love Hong Kong, it is my home and with 50+ years living here you can be sure of some very interesting stories, through my own experiences I have found that many tour guides in Hong Kong get critical facts and figures wrong but more importantly they have a pure vanilla script that they work to and in general will never say anything remotely controversial and avoid many subjects either because it makes them uncomfortable or their knowledge is somewhat shallow.

I have a hard hitting “blog” which I take very seriously, I was an active blogger when I was operating J3 Private Tours and I am continuing that tradition with J3 Consultants, I have always found that people are really interested in Hong Kong and yet they go away with a feeling that they do not understand Hong Kong at all, I hope to change that.

Hong Kong is unique with a fabulous history and recent | current events have been very much distorted for example in the Foreign Press (for geopolitical reasons), reality in Hong Kong is quite different to what you might be reading about.

For those people that are curious I offer a different private tour experience that will certainly get you thinking and you will get 2 sides of the story so to speak.

The private tour | experience fee is the TOTAL fee in US$ - see my notes below regarding transport costs, food and such.

For Family Tours - Kids 17 and under at the time of booking are FREE OF CHARGE and are always welcome on my tours! You would be amazed at how many companies treat kids any age over 11 to be an adult with adult pricing, read the small print!

Price List Notes

• If you book an Experience then you are booking an Experience with me, Jamie thus ensuring you get the best quality Experience, I have lived in Hong Kong for 50+ years, I am passionate about Hong Kong and can be quite blunt

• Please note that my night tour is 3 hours and starts at 6.30pm and finishes at 9.30pm

• Although I prefer to limit the tour | experience to 4 guests, additional guests add US$70 per person, maximum 6 people

• The experience | tour fee is the TOTAL experience | tour fee as per my price grid, this is NOT a per person fee

• Please note the Price List above is in United States Dollars - US$

• Please do read my terms and conditions aka. the small print, they are simple and straight forward.

• My fee is payable in cash, you can pay in either HK$ or US$, whatever is convenient for you, the exchange rate is US$1 = HK$7.80

• I can also accept payment in other currencies but subject to my confirmation in advance of the experience

• I do NOT require a deposit before the day of the tour | experience, we will settle up in cash on the day

  Payment in CASH when we meet in US$ or HK$

J3 Hong Kong Private Tours and Experiences - Transport + Food Costs

| IMPORTANT | Inclusions and Exclusions

INCLUDED in the tour fee

• The cost of any public transport such as Taxi's, Buses, Mini Buses, Ferries, Street Trams and the MTR (Subway)

• Please note that given that Taxi fares for long journeys in Hong Kong can be very expensive, the decision to use a taxi is at my sole discretion

EXCLUDED from the tour fee

• The Peak Tram, The Airport Express Train, NP 360 Lantau Cable Car, Uber and Private Car hire etc. - in other words, these transport costs are your responsibility.

• Meals / Drinks / Snacks / Souvenirs etc. - these are your responsibility

Please note - I pay my own transport costs

I need you to be very clear about these additional costs so there are no surprises on the day, I have always been upfront about these Transport Costs and Miscellaneous Expenditures

You will be amazed at how many Tour Companies in Hong Kong and Online Travel Agencies hit you with extra costs on the day of the tour, which is why you absolutely must read the small print - I do NOT, I am upfront

You will need some HK$ cash for your tour | experience. Most shops and restaurants will accept credit cards but if we go off the beaten track cash is needed as many food stalls and market stalls work on a cash basis only. As a guide HK$400 - HK$500 cash per person should cover most eventualities

Who I welcome to participate | Individuals, Couples, Families, Cruise Ship Passengers, Business People, Conference Attendees, Student Study Groups, in fact any small group of 4 - 6 people is more than welcome!

At a minimum I need the names of the people going on the tour, date of the tour, start time, number of hours, name of the hotel I will meet you + any other information you think is relevant | please note I will always confirm I have received a booking.

Once I have received the form I will respond very quickly
