I completed 2,324 private tours in Hong Kong serving 6,000+ guests until Covid 19 closed down Hong Kong in January 2020 for 3 full years, I have since retired from doing tours and spend my time doing Hong Kong research, working as a consultant, offering unique Hong Kong experiences and doing my photography.

As I have retired from doing Private Walking Tours, I am now dedicating my time and expertise to supporting my very tight-knit group of friends as they continue to develop their tour business. I wholeheartedly recommend booking a tour of Hong Kong with any of them; each member of the “team” is incredibly talented, has charisma in abundance and are passionate about showcasing the beauty and culture of Hong Kong - Pearl of the Orient.

When I started researching private tours in Hong Kong in 2010 there was only one actual company offering a private tour (sort of) and one chap who also offered them with one problem, he was an ex Lonely Planet Editor and lived in Japan not Hong Kong - essentially he traded on the Lonely Planet name and the Hong Kong Tours were conducted by a “Local” guide

The market was dominated by what we call the Coach Tour Companies, some of them had been running tours for over 50 years without changing the tour itinerary (which included the dreaded jewellery factory stop) and they all had one thing in common, it was a lousy experience.

Self explanatory, an all too common experience for those that take coach tours and for me what is worse is that this experience has not changed in decades, with some tweaking and an overhaul it could be a much, much better experience and to think that the Hong Kong Government believes that this is the only type of tour that visitors take when they come to Hong Kong, in a nutshell this is what happens when you have no competition and Government Protection.

…. so, sensing a big opportunity for private tours I jumped in with eyes wide open and both feet and shortly thereafter others followed.

I was always a bit of an information | ideas junkie and a big believer in healthy competition and started contacting “the competition” to see how we could work together.

Collaboratively, we established a flourishing community of very diverse individuals who share similar values, fostering a culture of healthy competition and continuous growth. Our commitment, forged through mutual respect and a shared vision, enabled us to willingly share and exchange innovative ideas, create, plan and organize tours and experiences, pass on tours we could not handle and worked together towards providing unparalleled and immersive experiences in Hong Kong, consistently aiming for excellence.

We all dislike mediocrity intensely, especially when it comes to the all-too-common experience of researching and booking a tour in Hong Kong. It's frustrating to encounter uninspired offerings and subpar services when you're eager to have the best possible experience in Hong Kong.

Tours are available primarily in English, Cantonese, Mandarin, French, German, Spanish etc. and generally the company owners are heavily involved in leading tours and all are totally committed to giving a premium quality experience.

Hong Kong has many tour companies, regrettably, a significant number of them fall far short of delivering exceptional service. Many average tour companies and guides opt for listing on Online Travel Agency websites ( OTA’s) like Viator, Tripadvisor, Tours by Locals, With Locals, Get your Guide, Klook and such, seeking quick business at discounted rates. Whilst there's nothing inherently wrong with this approach, my friends, who are very experienced expert guides, would much prefer direct contact through their websites.

I absolutely recommend you contact them directly, you will immediately realise that they offer a superior product and they are dedicated to providing you with an unforgettable, high-quality experience when you visit Hong Kong.
